Soltoro has started a drill program that is planned to examine the potential gold at its Chinipas Project in Mexico. A 2,000 m drilling is ongoing at the property, which includes four holes to be drilled during the Phase I program.
The mineralized gold at the project is present in the form of sheeted quartz-tourmaline-pyrite veinlets and veins, which is in the cracked quartz-feldspar porphyry. Numerous veins on the property have been mined for visible coarse gold. Soltoro has returned 2.49 gold over 1.3 m, 2.14 g/t gold over 3.0 m and 2.92 g/t gold over 2.0 m, 17.65 g/t gold over 15 cm while sampling the veins. The company has planned to assess the regions containing strong veins that cover the width of 0.5 km and a 1.2 km strike length.
The CEO and President of the company, has stated that the drilling program results will confirm the distribution of and continuous gold mineralization. As the Palmarejo Mine has begun other major exploration projects and production successfully, Soltoro has also planned for an orientation drilling campaign.
This Chinipas project is situated 13 km north of the Chinipas town and covers 1,421 ha. The Chinipas infrastructure has been enhanced considerably due to the opening of the Palmarejo Mine. Neither exploration nor drill testing has been performed on the property utilizing the new exploration methods. The essential property expense requisites will be fulfilled by this preliminary drilling and sustain this claim for many years.
