Uranium North Resource Starts Drilling Program at Amer Lake Project

Uranium North Resource has begun the drilling program at its Amer Lake project in Nunavut. This drilling program is planned to examine the strike of the Main Zone deposit for further uranium mineralization so as to increase the current 19.3 million pound uranium resource.

The company has planned to drill around 20 holes to the southeast of the inferred resource during the preliminary program. It has planned to drill an additional 20 holes during the phase II drilling program.

The significant feature of this drilling program is to discover additional broader and high-grade uranium zones as examined in the drill hole UNR-15.

The CEO and President of the company, has stated that this drilling program is focused on the Main Zone deposit’s southeast part, where no historical drilling was completed and significant resources are added while this new area is being explored.

The company will record the reverse circulation drill cuttings in the field using binocular microscope. It will employ a scintillometer to determine the intervals with elevated uranium before sampling. Uranium North will also perform geochemical sampling at every 1.5 m.
