Silver Quest Resources has announced drilling results from 22 holes, which is obtained from the current 20,000 m drilling program to extend the resources at the Davidson gold project.
Silver Quest has formed a joint venture with New Gold, the operator of this joint venture. Silver Quest possesses 25% interest in this joint venture. The project is located around 110 km southwest of Vanderhoof in BC.
The company has encountered several high-grade intercepts besides bulk-tonnage gold mineralization. It has cut 165.4 g/t gold over 4 m in hole BW 156, 33.5 and 46.0 g/t gold over 1 m in holes BW 162 and 158. Also, numerous intercepts with 5 g/t gold grading occurs over breadth of at least 1 m in many holes.
Silver Quest has completed the easternmost hole, BW 156 and the deposit stays open to expand to the east and north of this hole.
The holes that are reported contain step-out and in-fill holes, which are drilled within and around the mineral resource outlined presently at the Davidson gold project. The holes from 15 through 36 are contained in the 22 holes of the present drilling program. These drilling results show the mineralization continuity towards northeast and northwest of the resource region.
New Gold has proclaimed a drilling development at its Blackwater Project and has scheduled to drill 40,000 to 50,000 m, totaling around 100 holes in the second half of 2011.
