Victory Resources has announced the phase I drilling program results, which was planned to explore the southward geological expansion of the significant Reforma complex ore zone.
The company collars the drill hole DDH-001-11 near a skarn outcrop having similar mineralogy as that of the main Reforma zone, which includes chalcopyrite, pyrite and small amounts of sphalerite and galena. It has intersected 127.4 g/t silver, 0.88% copper and 3.125% lead over a thickness of 9.60 m.
The company has proposed a further drilling program to identify the relationship and importance of the mineralized intercepts occurring above the key Reforma ore zone.
A study is being conducted over the El Chapote skarn zone covering 1 km northwest of the previous Reforma mine and a drilling program will begin on the zone soon.
The company sends 550 samples in total from a rock geochemistry campaign to ALS Chemex laboratory for a 32- element ICP analysis. The goal of the geochemical survey was to examine the potential mineralization connected with an extensive oxidation region, which is located immediately to the western part of the Reforma mine. Victory predicts a geophysical survey as a record to discover potential drilling targets, depending on the analytical results.
