American Manganese has received the drilling results of the following 11 holes from the drilling program at the Artillery Peak manganese project. The company has already released the results of the initial 27 drill holes.
The company has commenced this drilling in April, 2011 and has completed it in June, 2011. It has used reverse circulation drilling methods because the mineralization was consistent and distributed. It has drilled 10,607 m, totaling 86 holes.
The CEO and President of the Company, has commented that the results of the primary 37 drill holes are very encouraging and the company is increasing the significant mineralization level at the patented claims along Manganese Mesa’s northeast border.
The wide mineralization found at the Artillery Peak in sedimentary beds takes the structure of the paleo-alluvial fans, which is dispersing out down slope from several source vents. The mineralized intersections continue to show the predicted lateral continuity over fine widths that are enhanced by local high-grade intersections.
ALS Chemex in Nevada examined the assay samples and additional results will be released soon.
Artillery Peak’s present NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate comprises an Indicated resource of approximately 92.8 mt grading 3.27% manganese, and an Inferred resource of around 107.2 mt, which grades 3.76% manganese.
