Thor Mining has acknowledged two drilling targets in the Dundas Gold Project in Western Australia. The project is located within the Albany-Fraser province in that extends along the southern and southwestern margin of the Yilgarn Craton.
A number of recent discoveries have been made in the region for gold projects including the 5 million ounce Tropicana gold deposit.
Thor Mining has decided on where to continue exploration on the gold project after the results of a surface geochemical sampling came in. The region has had other gold deposits discovered recently such as the Beachcomber, Socrates, Corvette, and Corona. This has made it a priority for the company to set up its own drill targets.
Thor Mining has focused on exploring and developing gold and base metals along with developing an advanced tungsten and molybdenum project in the Northern Territory of Australia. The Molyhil project is ready for development but is waiting for improved metals prices. The definitive feasibility of the project in terms of technical, environmental and community issues have already been addressed.
As of now the company is focusing on the Dundas Gold Project and the two targets called Bufrost and Algron which are due for initial shallow drilling. The reconnaissance and infill surface sampling program is in progress at the property.
