AMEX Exploration has received all the essential license and permits for the drilling program at the Nueva Escondida property.
This company is the operator of Bowmore Exploration and has engaged G4 Drilling of Val D`Or Qc. to perform this program. It has already mobilized the crew and the drills.
This drilling program includes around 2000 m, totaling 6 to 8 holes that primarily target the Rodeo Zone, which is an important gold-silver-lead-zinc mineralized zone defined during the latest explorations in 2010 and 2011. The location of this zone is at the junction of the porphyry intrusive and a sedimentary rock containing dolimitized and silicified limestones mainly and has been followed by over 1 km distance approximately and the thickness is to be determined.
The formerly conducted surface channel surface sampling program had yielded up to 0.58 g/t gold, 116 g/t silver, 3% lead and 6.6% zinc over 12 m and stayed open. The company has collared some drill holes in order to examine the depth extension of the polymetallic zone.
The CEO and President of Amex Exploration, has commented that the work program during 2010 and 2011 has confirmed the historical work and has encountered good results by the extension of the Rodeo zone. The company has been executing considerable work to spot this mineralized zone, which bears some resemblance to the huge low-grade polymetallic deposits like Goldcorp’s Camino Rojo and Penasquito and drilling this deposit in a short term period.
The management of Amex and Bowmore is very excited to observe the results of the phase I drilling, which was conducted on this property. This property is situated in the productive Sierra Madre gold belt’s foot hill. The company is expecting the results in August.
