Typhoon Exploration Advances Drilling at Fayolle Property

Typhoon Exploration has updated about the advancement of the exploration program at the Fayolle property to its financial community and shareholders. The proposed drilling program is a part of the agreement made between Typhoon Exploration and Aurizon Mines.

So far, the company has completed diamond drilling of approximately 30,000 m during this 2011 program and has scheduled to drill 50,000 m. It has planned to drill several holes and has completed more than 42 drill holes. Typhoon has drilled 58 holes at the Fayolle Deposit and intends to drill more holes.

The company has completed the geophysical airborne electromagnetic and magnetic surveys. These surveys contained flight lines of 160 km and 190 km. The magnetic survey that was performed in 2004 will be included in the new information to get 25 m resolution at the Fayolle deposit and 50 m on the north-east that facilitate to outline the NNW structures’ magnetic signatures, which were discovered in the latest geological model showing the existence of high-grade brecciated formations at the Fayolle deposit.

Typhoon completes 80% of mapping and prospecting. These drilling and exploration results will lead to the identification of four areas, wherein stripping was conducted. Chip and channel sampling will be done at these areas, which comprise the gabbroic zone found in hole FAX-11-15 that encountered 1,480 g/t gold over 1 m, which was located 1 km away from the deposit.

The company has hired an environmental consulting company to commence a description study of the physical surroundings necessary for the development of the project. It has currently planted more than 2,000 trees to recover some exploration spots.

Typhoon will perform a survey to find the positions of the accurate drill holes. This information is required to create a new mineral resource estimation.
