Full Metal Zinc has announced the ongoing surface exploration and drilling program at the Fortymile copper-lead-silver-zinc project in east-central Alaska.
The company has planned for core drilling of 4,000 m that targets fine carbonate replacement deposits (CRD). It will conduct step-out drilling program at the LWM deposit, surface lead- silver-zinc occurrences and local multi-element soil anomalies at the Property.
The company had previously intersected 464.2 g/t silver, 1.41% copper, 31.6% zinc and 11.3% lead over 6.48 m, 127.0 g/t silver, 21.2% zinc, 8.7% lead over 15.6 m and 76.6 g/t silver, 5.3% lead, 15.9% zinc over 44.6 m at LWM deposit. It has encountered immense chalcopyrite-galena-sphalerite mineralization over a strike length 900 m and more than 250 m under surface through drilling. The LWM deposit stays open for the extension at depth and to the south.
The Fish and LWM deposits with Eva, West Eva, Oscar and Falcon prospects are present in a wide CRD-style mineralization area, in which major areas were not drill tested. The target of the 2011 drilling season will be on several soil anomalies in 3 km of LWM deposit. Also, the Company is extending further the soil grid coverage above the favorable carbonate host rocks, which lie below the Fortymile property.
The company has options to get several 100% leasehold interests in the lands of 117,638 acres that are chosen by Doyon.
Using the diamond saw, the drill cores are cut in half. One-half of the drill cores are placed in sealed bags and sent to ALS-Chemex Lab in Alaska.
Now the Full Metal Zinc is drilling its flagship Fortymile property, Alaska. It is actively estimating the several opportunities of zinc in the Americas.
