OSISKO and OREX EXPLORATION is willing to offer the shareholders the results of the final assay from the diamond drilling operation that commenced during April, 2011 at the completely-owned Goldboro gold property of Orex in Nova Scotia.
In this campaign, about 10 drill holes that represent 2,375.4 m were completely drilled. At East Goldbrook, about 6 drill holes ranging from OSK11-01 to OSK11-06, measuring 1,610 m were finished. Overall, 4 drill holes including OSK11-07 to OSK11-10, indicating drilling of about 765.4 m were completed in the area between Dolliver and West Goldbrook mountain.
East Goldbrook’s 6 drill holes were accomplished on three sections at a distance of about 250 m apart from the east property border. The holes were drilled to cross-section a wide corridor of nearly 250 m recognized by the reverse circulation (RC) drilling, 2010 to include samples of bedrock chip from 6 RC holes that yielded grades ranging from 0.1 to 25.65 g/t Au.
The results obtained from the East Goldbrook’s drilling signify the availability of thin higher grade gold veins usually comprising visible gold and often related to broader zones of low-grade values that extend from the strike length of 500 m to the property border. The mineralization is possible to drop slowly to the east and hence requires extra drilling to outline the zones further.
The left-out 4 drill holes were finished by means of three sections located at 200 m apart in the gap between West Goldbrook and Dolliver Mountain, where drilling was not done previously. The OSK11-07drill hole was discarded even after reaching its intended depth because of drilling obstacles.
