Diamonds North Resources has commenced the 2011 exploration campaign at the Hepburn property, which is situated in the Northwest Territories.
The focus of this exploration will be on the defining regions of intense mineralization for the drill program by means of prospecting and induced polarization (IP) surveying.
The CEO and President of the company, has stated that the Hepburn property has previously shown high-grade potential of copper and silver along with gold credit, bismuth and uranium. The significant development of the company would be the successful discovery of drill targets at this property.
The company has obtained the primary grab samples of up to 19.8% copper, 123.0 g/t silver, 0.17% bismuth and 0.17% bismuth from the Hepburn property. These mineralized showings are considered to be connected with 3.5 x 1.5 km magnetic high that is semi-coincident along with a radiometric anomaly, which is identified using the airborne survey. The values of anomalous gold propose that the system is bearing gold.
Besides the Hepburn property, Diamonds North is also aggressively performing gold exploration at the Southern Nunavut properties, which contains the Esker property.
