Golden Dawn Minerals has received its amended drilling permit from the British Columbia Ministry of Energy and Mines for the Wild Rose portion of the Wild Rose-Tam O'Shanter property. It is scheduling to commence a 10 to 20 hole drill campaign at the Wild Rose portion. The drilling permit application for the Tam O'Shanter property is in progress.
This 2011 drilling region will analyze several targets and is directed to many objectives , which contains tonnage expansion and search for new and superior-grade zones connected with the Deadwood gold zone. The Deadwood zone includes a currently determined Inferred Resource of 19.4 Mt averaging 0.45 g/t gold for 279,300 oz gold in total. In addition, the company has discovered numerous targets depending upon the soil sampling program of 2011. The company has encountered over 50 ppb gold from 198 soil samples, 100 ppb gold from 29 soil samples to a high of 447 ppb of gold at the property area. It has also yielded more than 200 ppb copper from 184 soil samples, 500 ppm copper from 34 samples to a high of 1,584 ppm of copper.
The soil sample region is approximately 2.4 x 2.1 km in areal extent. Soil sampling grid’s objective was to discover additional prospective expansions of the Deadwood zone with prospective high-grade gold and copper zones, which might signify other proximal parts of the hydrothermal systems.
The soil sampling returned several gold targets, which need the follow-up drill testing along the Deadwood zone strike. The company has discovered a weak coincident gold and arsenic anomaly along the Deadwood Zone strike to Wild Rose vein system’s southeast part. It has found that a major gold-copper anomaly is moving from the Deadwood zone to the northern border of the property. The copper-gold anomaly along with several samples, which is returning more than 200 ppm copper and 100 ppb gold, is spatially connected with two magnetic anomalies. Also, the company finds several gold-copper in soil anomalies connected with the previous induced polarization (IP) chargeability anomalies to the east and eliminated from the key Deadwood zone trend. It will examine several of these anomalies during the 2011 drill campaign.
