Prophecy Platinum Releases Initial Hole Results from Wellgreen Project

Prophecy Platinum has released the assay results of the initial holes from its 2011 drill campaign at the Wellgreen project. The company has intersected 0.43% NiEq over 472.6 m of mineralization from the surface to the footwall contact in the borehole WS11-184.

It has also cut 1.27 g/t PGM+gold, 0.71% nickel, 0.45% copper over 49.5 m in this larger mineralization. The geology altered from the blebby scattered to net-textured to huge sulphide and the company encountered 0.17 g/t gold, 3.4 g/t silver, 1.7% copper, 6.3% nickel, 2.7 g/t platinum and 1.6 g/t palladium nearing the footwall contact.

The location of the hole WS11-184 is on Wellgreen’s east extent and around 150 m south of the former drilling along that segment. The hole showed the continuity of mineralization to the footwall contact from the surface and surpassed the 0.40% NiEq cutoff, which was utilized in the resource declaration during July 2011. The hole increases the mineralized zone thickness to around 500 m while demonstrating the grade increase towards the footwall contact and revealing the continuity along the strike, which is away from the significant mine development going in the east direction. Additionally, the hole WS11-184 has huge sulphide at this eastern locale that indicates the prospective occurrence of a new immense sulphide system in this direction, where the Wellgreen intrusion strike of 2.3 km to the eastern part of WS11-184 is examined effectively by the diamond drill program throughout the property.

The company has currently completed drilling of around 2,000 m at the property during the 2011 exploration. It is continuing its drilling campaign and plans to announce more results after the completion of assays.
