Frontline Gold Signs Drilling Agreement for Poly Property

Frontline Gold and Black Hawk Diamond Drilling of Smithers have signed a drilling agreement.

The phase II drilling campaign will be performed at the Poly property, which is situated at Hwy 37A in the Stewart gold camp, north-west British Columbia.

The program will include drilling of up to around 1500 m and is scheduled to analyze several priority gold targets like the Upper Poly Grid’s X-Zone. Historically, this zone intersected up to 0.09% copper, 5.2 g/t gold, 49.2 g/t silver, 1.8% zinc and 0.31% lead over 2.6 m and 0.05% copper, 3.1 g/t gold, 26.8 g/t silver, 0.96% zinc and 0.17% lead over 4.9 m. This drilling will examine Southwest Grid’s Classic VTEM anomaly, which was defined by Geotech in 2010 survey and nearby to a broad strongly sulfidized and altered talus boulder zones that were identified in 2011 and also the VTEM anomalies in the Central and North Central area, outlined by Geotech surveys during 2010 and present in positively altered Hazelton Group rocks. The phase I work discovered further potential drill targets, including the wide gossans at the SP Zone located on the LN Tenures and the Upper SW Grid, which is under an option contract from Teuton Resources. The significant, zoned silver-lead-zinc, gold-copper VMS type MMI-M anomaly might have several drill targets at the Lower Grid, which was extended in 2011 and further MMI-M sampling was performed.

The final drill target selection will contain the remaining assay results from the Phase 1 surveys, which comprised the compilation of approximately 1250 MMI-M, chip, rock, soil and stream sediment samples. Frontline will begin the construction of the drill pad in late August and drilling in September. Markham Ontario-based Geofine Exploration Consultants is conducting the 2011 drilling program at the Poly property.
