Cartier Resources has declared additional channel sampling results from Cadillac Extension project, which is situated 115 km to the east of Val-d'Or, Quebec. The company has intersected 100 g/t silver, 1.5 % copper over 18 m, 1.4 g/t gold, 1.2 % copper and 629 g/t silver over 2 m and also 80 g/t silver, 1.0 % copper over 32 m.
In addition, Cartier has encountered 67 g/t silver, 2.7 % copper and 1.1 % zinc over 3 m in a broader interval grading 27 g/t silver and 0.7 % copper over 20 m and also 237 g/t silver, 6.6 g/t gold over 1 m in a section. These are the recent trenching results from the Langlade polymetalic zone, where the final results of 45 samples are being awaited.
On the whole, the company took 609, 1 m channel samples on a systematic 10 m spaced model of the interest area. The zone is opened at-depth and laterally and is supported by recent geophysical survey results. Cartier has scheduled for the diamond drilling program to examine the lateral and depth expansions of the zone.
Mineralization exists as lens of scattered to semi-massive sulphides comprising chalcopyrite, gahnite, galena, pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. This is hosted in the biotite-anthophyllite-garnet altered rocks envelop. The company completed a comprehensive sampling and mapping at the zone to define the overall geometry of excellent prospective units.
The CEO and President of Cartier, has stated that these further results show good mineralization continuity at the surface. He added that the drill hole targeting at depth and laterally will focus on substantiating the expansion potential.
