Monarques Resources has announced the results of five diamond drill holes from the 2011 winter exploration program conducted at its Arques property, which is a part of Monarques’ lengthy package of polymetallic property, Quebec.
The CEO and President of Monarques, has stated that the Arques has been proved to be a fresh strange REE bearing intrusive alkaline complex. The target of the exploration will be to describe the interference for differentiating Tantalum, Niobium and Rare Earth Elements enhanced lithologies.
The plan of the 2011 winter drilling was to discover an ellipsoidal magnetic characteristic formed by an approximate 8 x 5 km long magmatic intrusion. Monarques has located five diamond drill holes to cut the inferred magnetic lineaments. Significantly, undersaturated lithologies have been primarily exposed by all the holes. Additionally, the company has intersected 1.50% TREO over 1.0 m, 0.77% TREO over 2.1 m, 0.80% TREO over 3.8 m, and 0.59% TREO over 3.1 m in the hole RUP-11-05. It has sampled the main distinguished lithologies and so, the company will analyze the drill core to perform fresh sampling.
A phase II exploration campaign has been started, as the company has received positive results. A track-etching radiometric survey that encloses the complete complex has offered several high contrast anomalies. A 2,200 m diamond drilling has commenced to trace these targets.
