Taku Gold has reported the comprehensive deep auger soil sampling results, which was completed over several grids formed all through the Sulphur property. The location of the 536-claim property is around 45 km to the south of Dawson City, Yukon.
The company has completed the comprehensive grid sampling, at 50 m sample locations, over potential regions, which were discovered by the "ridge and spur" sampling program performed during May and June 2011.
The first and second zones are situated at the property’s south-central and north-central section, respectively. These zones have been outlined over a 1,200 m long of east trending and 1,600 m long of southeast trending, respectively. This first zone has confirmed values up to a maximum of 576 ppb gold, whereas the second zone has revealed a maximum of up to 128 ppb gold. The location of the third and fourth zone is at the property’s southeastern and northeastern portion, respectively. The third zone has been outlined over a 600 m of southeast trend and demonstrated up to 102 ppb gold. The fourth’s zones dimensions and orientation are ambiguous. It has been shown as three sub zones that have a similar northeast-trending feature. The first sub zone, located northerly, has been traced over a 100 m length, confirming 182 ppb of gold. The second sub zone has been weakly delineated over 600 m length and showed 211 ppb of gold. The third sub zone is delineated over 400 m of length and has demonstrated 153 ppb of gold.
The company is currently performing prospecting, mechanical trenching and comprehensive sampling program at the four gold zones. Taku Gold’s President has stated that the company will outline the drill targets at the end of the ongoing work program at Sulphur.
