Anglo Canadian Oil Spuds at 3-4-67-26 W5 Ante Creek Well Site

The well, 3-4-67-26 W5 site has been spudded by Anglo Canadian Oil, where the Montney and Nordegg zones are focused.

The company has cored, logged and cased the Ante Creek well, 8-3-67-26 W5, according to the early announcement. It has done the Petrophysical study from the initial core analysis and logs on the Montney and Nordegg zones. Anglo has taken nine core samples from the Montney zone and four samples from the Nordegg zone.

The primary core results have unveiled oil discoloration in the Montney and the Nordegg zones, along with fractures. Logs’ Petrophysical analysis has confirmed the presence of around 4.5% of the TOC content in the Nordegg zone. The company has obtained four core plugs from the limestone stringers in the Nordegg zone and has demonstrated porosities raging from 3% to 11%, gas permeabilities from 0.01 md to 0.49 md and oil saturations from 37% to 75%.

The nine core plugs obtained from Montney has shown oil saturations that varies from upper to lower areas, raging from 35% to 11% respectively, porosities from around 3% to 15% and gas permeabilities from 0.01 md to 0.88 md.

The completion methods are anticipated to be applied on the 8-3 well and will include sand fracturing and acid on the Nordegg zone and acid on Montney. The company is expecting the starting of this completion works on this well at the earliest.
