Cartier Resources Receives Reconnaissance Till Sampling Results from Cadillac Extension Project

Cartier Resources has obtained the reconnaissance till sampling results from the east section of the Cadillac extension project, which is situated 115 km to the eastern portion of Val-d'Or, in Quebec.

Till results - Gold

The latest survey has enclosed 15 x 15 km area to the Langlade deposit’s eastern part and has yielded gold in till anomalies, which intersected up to 4.26 g/t gold. Cartier has discovered two target regions and has submitted an application for the project area extension.

The company has selected the till sampling program to speed up the discovery of potential regions over the project’s large section. This 2011 campaign has included 108 samples over a region that encloses structural and geological targets and several geophysical conductors. The location of the target region is at the area’s glacial dispersal direction to the northern part of a till sample, which yielded 13.6 g/t gold during the 2010 campaign. Cartier has outlined the new survey results, which has confirmed two different regions that trend in east-northeast direction.

The primary region is a definite tight cluster of 10 gold in till anomalies, which bounds 13.6 g/t of gold obtained during the 2010 till discovery. The top of the trend is defined by a 1.5 km EM conductor that lies inclined to the trend of gold in the till anomaly. The second region is featured by a wide trend, located to the southern part of an EM conductor strings.

The company has applied for two fresh map designated claims, which is contiguous to the north and east borders of Cartier, to enclose the fresh discoveries’ potential expansions. More than 260 till samples have been taken from the project region. Cartier is analyzing a variety of metal pathfinder anomalies to find further targets.
