Focus Minerals has encountered high-grade gold intercepts during the drilling program conducted at its flagship Tindals Mining Centre and has shown the additional extension potential around the productive Perseverance deposit.
The company has focused on the mineralization discovered formerly to the north of the Perseverance North deposit, where mineralized strike of 150 m has been defined, through the drill program.
Additionally, the fresh drilling at the Perseverance’s main deposit has validated the mineralised diorite lode present to the west of the Perseverance ore reserve.
The company has cut 16.3 g/t gold over 2.4 m, 10.8 g/t over 2.8 m and 20.2 g/t over 6 m at the Perseverance North deposit and also intersected 12.4 g/t over 3 m, 7.0 g/t over 6.1 m and 16.0 g/t over 16.9 m at the diorites.
Focus has targeted the Perseverance North discovery to evaluate the prospective of the south strike and infill around former encouraging results. The discovered high-grade mineralized strike of length 150 m stays open to the down dip and to the north. These drilling results seem to show a moderate-sharp southerly plunge at the Perseverance North deposit, which is alike the Perseverance’s key sulphide-quartz ore body.
The holes drilled at the Main Lode, which is present in the Perseverance ore reserve, were expanded towards the western part to examine the site, where mineralized diorites were occurring. The location of the mineralized diorites is 20-50 m to the western part of the ore reserve. The company has scheduled for additional drilling to find the level of the diorite mineralization.
