Focus Ventures Updates on Minas Chanca Project

Focus Ventures has updated the progress of the Minas Chanca project. According to the option agreement, Compañia de Minas Buenaventura is earning from the project. Buenaventura is performing an 8,000 m of drilling around the significant mine. Two underground drill rigs and a second surface rig have been brought to extend the drill campaign. Additionally, Buenaventura has restored the tunnels of more than 960 m over six levels of the previous mine.

The company has drilled three surface drill holes and intersected 1,153 g/t silver, 0.2% lead and 0.3% zinc over 1.85 m in the hole CAN11-03 and 204 g/t silver, 0.04% lead and 0.09% zinc over 1.05 m in the hole CAN11-02.

The company has completed 2,300 underground channel and surface sampling program, which includes 1,144 surface and 818 underground samples. The target of the work is on the mine’s north portion that is on the Prescilda and Santo Toribio veins, where there is progress in the expansion to agree for an underground drill program at the structure extensions. Underground channel sampling program conducted at different mining levels has yielded several silver values along with gold and base metals.

The company has cut 4.15 g/t gold, 4.15 g/t silver, 0.2% lead and 0.2% zinc over 0.40 m in the sample CANCM544, 3.20 g/t gold, 2,290 g/t silver, 1.4% lead and 2.3% zinc over 1.35 m in the sample CANCM553, 0.66 g/t gold, 1,480 g/t silver, 0.2% lead and 0.2% zinc over 0.55 m in the sample CANCM582, 0.20 g/t gold, 242 g/t silver, 0.4% lead and 0.3% zinc over 2.05 m in the sample CANCM681, 0.18 g/t gold, 440 g/t silver, 3.0% lead and 4.7% zinc over 0.40 m in the sample CANCM734, 0.20 g/t gold, 665 g/t silver, 3.8% lead and 5.3% zinc over 0.40 m in the sample CANCM735 and 11.80 g/t gold, 462 g/t silver, 0.1% lead and 0.2% zinc over 0.65 m in the sample CANCM827.

Mineralization is connected with argentite, milky quartz veins and ruby silver. Further results of drilling are pending.
