Rockex Mining has reported an aerial high-resolution aeromagnetic survey results from the Root Lake, Western Lake St. Joseph and Doran Lake projects, which are located in the Lake St. Joseph region that is in northwest Ontario, which is 80 kms to the Pickle Lake’s southwest portion and 100 km to the Sioux Lookout’s northeast part.
The company’s survey was conducted to outline the prominent iron deposits and to spot the fresh magnetic mineralization zones at the properties, by employing the present geophysical methods. Geo Data Solutions, GDS of Quebec was engaged by the company to perform a high-resolution aeromagnetic survey that can identify magnetic mineralization over 400 m of depth.
Rockex’s Chairman has stated that this aerial survey has improved the company’s analysis of the iron structures present in the Root Lake, Western Lake St. Joseph and Doran Lake regions. A magnetic signature of the iron structures has been found during this survey in these regions. The company has inferred the survey results as an increase in the formerly prominent structures’ dimension, expansions to those structures and further mineralized zones located around those three regions. The ongoing drilling will examine these fresh and prominent anomalies. These geophysical analytical methods have shown good developments and therefore, the survey results should improve the capacity of the company to target the exploration works and increase the mineral resources of Rockex considerably in the Lake St. Joseph area.
