Soltoro has drilled 1,821 m, totaling eight holes, which is planned to examine the bulk gold potential at its Chinipas project, Mexico. The property has enclosed 1,421 ha of land and is situated 13 km to the Chinipas town’s northern part.
Gold mineralization is present in sheeted veins and veinlets of pyrite, tourmaline and quartz, which are present in strongly broken feldspar-quartz porphyry, at the project. Visible and coarse gold have been explored from numerous veins of the property by local prospectors. Soltoro has sampled those veins and has yielded 2.49 g/t gold over 1.3 m, 2.92 g/t gold over 2.0 m, 17.65 g/t gold over 15 cm and 2.14 g/t gold from a panel sample of 3 x 3 m. Veining is present along a northeast-southwest trend of length 3.5 km. the company conducted drill program to examine the most strong veining region that encloses a strike of 0.5 km thickness and 1.2 km long.
The company has cut 0.560 g/t gold over 0.5 m and 0.514 g/t gold over 1.6 m in the hole Chi11-2, 0.970 g/t gold over 2.5 m, 0.445 g/t gold over 2.0 m, 0.311 g/t gold over 2.7 m in the hole Chi11-6, 1.260 g/t gold over 0.6 m, 0.929 g/t gold over 2.1 m in the drill hole Chi11-7. It has not identified any considerable results from the holes Chi11-1, Chi11-3, Chi11-4, Chi11-5 and Chi11-8.
Soltoro found veinlets of pyrite, tourmaline and quartz and alteration at the depth, where separate anomalies of copper, gold, molybdenum, silver and zinc were identified. Currently, the company has not scheduled for additional work at the property.
