Trevali Mining has started a diamond drilling campaign at its Stratmat deposit, which is a multi-lens sediment-hosted, volcanic huge sulphide deposit that includes chalcopyrite, galena, pyrite, pyrrhotite, and sphalerite mineralization, in Canada.
Core drilling of around 5,000 m will be included in this program, which has been planned to change a major part of the independent NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate with inferred resource of 5.5 Mt, which grades 0.40% copper, 0.62 g/t gold, 54.21 g/t silver, 2.59% Lead and 6.11% zinc to a higher grade.
The company has intersected 104.57 g/t silver, 1.10 g/t gold, 0.42% copper, 3.38% lead and 9.92% zinc over 18.45 m in the DD hole ST-347, 99.57 g/t silver, 0.41 g/t gold, 0.56% copper, 5.65% lead and 11.38% zinc over 10.65 m in the DD hole ST-381 of S1 Zones, 121.68 g/t silver, 1.13 g/t gold, 0.59% copper, 3.44% lead and 9.47% zinc over 13.52 m in the hole 61-17, 90.04 g/t silver, 0.69 g/t gold, 0.91% copper, 3.45% lead and 8.72% zinc over 14.45 m in the hole ST-223, 78.34 g/t silver, 1.03 g/t gold, 0.15% copper, 2.22% lead and 6.83% zinc over 18.02 m in the hole ST-218 of the main zone, 87.81 g/t silver, 1.65 g/t gold, 0.30% copper, 4.49% lead and 12.33% zinc over 13.05 m in the hole ST-309A of the central zone.
Trevali will try for the size extension of the Stratmat resource through further drilling. Several immense sulphide zones are exposed along up and down plunge, strike and have encouraging prospective for the resource extension.
Representative samples from different zones of mineralization will be supplied to this program for further metallurgical testing, specifically to trace precious metals.
