Riverstone Resources has announced further results of nine diamond drill holes, received from the current drilling campaign conducted at the Kao zone in flagship Karma Gold deposit, West Africa.
The company’s program at the Kao zone plans to analyze and improve prominent mineralized zones and to dig the current resources’ eastern and down dip portion. These drilling results have validated the present mineralization and have expanded the mineralized zones up to 150 m down-dip and along the strike to the eastern part beyond the current resource. The deposit is continuously exposed along the strike to the down dip and the eastern part. At present, Riverstone is continuing the drilling program to additionally expand and validate the prominent mineralization.
The company has intersected 1.34 g/t gold over 26.0 m in the hole KAO-DD-11-021, 1.59 g/t gold over 14.0 m and 1.11 g/t gold over 28.0 m in the hole KAO-DD-11-024, 1.7 g/t gold over 8.0 m in the hole KAO-DD-11-025, 2.18 g/t gold over 8.0 m and 1.29 g/t gold over 10.0 m in the hole KAO-DD-11-026, 1.51 g/t gold over 8.0 m in the hole KAO-DD-11-020.
This Kao deposit forms a part of the Karma project, including a NI 43-101 gold resource of 1,119,100 oz gold in 44,100,000 t that grades 0.79 g/t gold in the inferred group and 810,600 oz gold in 22,845,000 t that grades 1.10 g/t gold in the indicated group. Riverstone has further drilled 37,000 m, and is expecting the addition of these drilling results to the resource.
