Cayden Resources has started the drilling campaign at the Las Calles target, which is located on the Morelos Sur gold property, Mexico. This location is significant since it is located close to the El Bermejal and Los Filos open pit mines.
The company is considering that this Las Calles target has the potential for housing mineralized gold depending on both the geographical setting and some previous drill program conducted by Grupo Mexico during 2004. The length and width of this Las Calles target is 1400 m and 600 m, respectively. The primary campaign will include around 17 holes at different depths that ranges from 200 to 400 m.
In addition, the company Cayden has obtained the drilling results from its La Joya target, which has returned 0.72 g/t gold over 134 m trench and 0.91 g/t gold over 44 m, and is exposed at both directions. Cayden has scheduled for a further trenching program in the region.
Ivan Bebek, Chief Operating Officer of Cayden, stated that the company is delighted to commence drilling at the Las Calles target and for new surface results obtained from the La Joya target. It is considering that there is a good opportunity for multiple target discoveries at the Morelos Sur.
