Stellar Pacific Ventures has updated the exploration at the Namarana project in Mali and will update on the current exploration at the Balandougou or Solotomo project, Guinea.
Stellar Pacific Mali SARL has obtained a 120 sq. km prospection authorization of the Namarana Project. This project is located nearby and to the Balandougou project’s eastern part at the Guinea-Mali boundary’s Mali side.
The company has inked a joint venture contract with Newmont Ventures, wherein Stellar and Newmont will take part together at the Namarana property exploration in Mali and look for purchasing further properties in the region.
The geologists of Newmont are conducting the exploration and assessment of the property’s potential. The primary activity report has been given to Stellar.
The company has completed the stream sediments sampling program at the property using the BLEG technique and a rock sampling program at an artisan mine located in the property’s centre.
It has processed and shipped 21 BLEG samples totally to the Newmont's laboratory in Australia. The reported results demonstrated the values of anomalous gold of over 2,6 ppb gold over the entire permit and found four dissimilar anomalous gold source in the permit.
Stellar gathered 19 rock samples totally in the artisan mine location. It discovered sericite schists, volcano-sedimentary rocks and mafic volcanic rocks at the site. Four considerable values of gold were received, including 48.4 /t gold from a brachiated and oxidized quartz veins.
Newmont has determined to progress the Namarana property exploration and to continue an aerial radiometric and magnetic survey over the full property. Xcalbur Geophysics has conducted this survey, which followed N-S flight with 100 m of line spacing.
The company has completed the survey’s field part and will perform the data analysis. The aerial survey interpretation will agree for a better positioning of the next stages of the exploration, which will include drilling, geochemistry and trenching of the best targets and a comprehensive mapping of the anomalous zones.
