Wolverine Exploration has offered details on the exploration campaign at the Cache River property, Labrador. Diamond drilling was included in this exploration program. The focus of this exploration was to examine the targets of 11 priority one and priority two, which were identified during an induced polarization survey performed in late 2010.
The company has drilled four anomalies and is casing the fifth anomaly when the weather conditions during winter will set. Then it decided to demobilize, having an aim of completing the remaining drill program during 2012.
Among the four drill holes, the company identified mineralized sulphides and magnetite in two holes and dispersed mineralization with pyrite and chalcopyrite blebs for around 37 m in another hole. The company has cut and sent this core to Activation Laboratories in Ontario for examination. Additionally, it intercepted magnetite segments in the fourth hole, which have been chosen for analysis that includes rare earth elements (REE) analysis. Wolverine will announce the assay results, once it is available.
The company has stopped drilling the proposed 11 holes, due to the early start of winter circumstances in Labrador. When Wolverine obtains the assay results, it will appraise the results along with the additional information from the early exploration.
