Riverside Resources has started the drill program at the Catrina gold project, Mexico. Recently, the company and its partner Mexigold completed the trenching program at the project.
The interpretation of the trenching results showed that the two main targets found earlier, namely La Dura and Catrina, were connected as a single huge gold-silver target with an open pit style. The associated Catrina-La Dura is a target trending towards the northeastern part and has enclosed a 1400 x 500 m broad region. The company will focus on this target for the present drill testing program.
This drilling campaign will examine the coincident geochemistry, geology, and geophysical anomalies found at the Patos and Catrina-La Dura target regions. The company will drill 2,000 m, totaling eight angled core holes and will examine three current targets out of six at the property.
Riverside Resources’ CEO and President, John-Mark Staude, commented that currently Mexigold and Riverside are analyzing additional gold-silver property among the 14 projects of the company’s portfolio in Mexico. Drilling has targeted the dispersed gold with Camino Rojo in siltstones and breccia mineralization with Penasquito style. The Patos region having the fault formations and clear feeder zone can house a newly discovered gold district.
