Archean Star Resources has completed the initial diamond drill hole and is drilling the second hole, TB007, during the ongoing diamond drilling campaign at the Turnberry zone, which is located in the Gnaweeda gold project in Western Australia.
The company drilled the hole TB006 to 326.9 m of depth and this step out hole is around 50 m from the TB003, diamond drill hole, in which the Company encountered 2.34 g/t gold over 16 m, 8.27 g/t gold over 3 m. Teck Australia has cut 17.77 g/t gold over 4 m in the hole GNRC009. The company has collared this hole TB007 to 50 m towards the eastern part of the hole TB003. The target of this hole TB007 is the supergene enriched zone’s down dip, wherein 2.34 g/t gold over 16 m was returned from the hole TB003. TB008’s collar is situated around 50 m to the northern part of TB006.
The mineralization in the diamond drill hole TB006 commences around 150 m to the down hole and has included considerable quartz veining along the pyrite. This mineralization is rich in the low portions of the hole. The intersection of gold in GNRC009 and TB003 are connected with pyrite.
The company is conducting the present drilling at the southernmost portion of the three previously discovered high-grade gold zones in the Turnberry zone.
Currently, Archean Star is logging, splitting and sampling the drill core TB006. Then the samples are sent to the ALS Chemex laboratory, Western Australia, for assaying. Assay results are pending.
