Teras Resources has obtained further assay results from the reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign conducted at the Cahuilla project, California. This project is a paleo-hot springs and large epithermal gold-silver system that houses several high-grade veins, which exists in a wide dispersed gold-silver mineralization body.
The company has drilled 22 holes and obtained the gold assay results for 12 holes. Currently, it is performing RC drill program in two regions, encountering significant gold mineralization. The objective of the company is to connect the two precious metal mineralization regions that expand for around 500 m of strike length through a drill program between the two zones of mineralization. Inspectorate Laboratory in Nevada has performed the assays of the RC samples. The project geologist, Mr. Paul Stubble, gathered the drill samples and sent them for analysis.
The drilling program’s initial goals are to extend the prominent mineralization of gold and silver that are outlined by previous drilling and look for further high-grade veins. Teras’ CEO and President, Mr. Peter Leger, stated that the company is delighted with the drill results received from the second assay round. The intercepts of the drill hole obtained has shown the large size of the silver and gold mineralization system and has confirmed the occurrence of formerly unexplored high-grade gold veins.
Teras has announced that a second RC drill rig will reach on site during mid-December of 2011 to accelerate the program to prepare a fresh NI 43-101 resource compliant report for 2012. Harris Drilling of California will perform this drilling.
