Northern Tiger Resources has obtained the assays from further 12 holes drilled at the 3Ace property, southeastern Yukon.
The company has announced assays for 20 holes out of 29 drilled during the 2011 program. It is waiting for the results of two scout holes and five further main zone holes.
The company intersected 3.11 g/t gold over 6.8 m and 1.25 g/t gold over 30.5 m in the hole 3A-11-18, 6.45 g/t over 1.0 m and 1.15 g/t over 23.0 m in the hole 3A-11-28, 45.22 g/t over 1.3 m and 3.15 g/t over 27.9 m in the hole 3A-11-32.
Northern Tiger’s President, Greg Hayes, has stated that the drill program is continuing to show the Main Zone continuity. The company observed the visible gold from six Main Zone holes out of 17.
All the three Main Zone holes 3A-11-18, 28 and 32 intersected considerable gold mineralization and showed the Main Zone’s down-dip continuity. These three holes are step-back holes. The mineralized zone was cut in the in-fill hole, 3A-11-20a. The company drilled the hole 3A-11-21, roughly similar to the mineralized structure’s strike. Hole 3A-11-24a did not cut any extensive mineralization. The Main Zone is exposed down-dip and along the strike towards the north.
Six scout holes drilled at three individual set-ups examined a small part of the geochemical anomaly of the Green Zone West. All six holes cut narrow zones of low-grade mineralized gold. The mineralization of Green Zone West cut in these primary holes does not reveal the tenor and scale of the soil anomaly.
