Tanzanian Royalty Exploration has announced further assay results of the current drilling campaign conducted at the Buckreef gold project in Tanzania.
The new results have validated continuity of the dip of several sub-vertical mineralized zones and have included the most remarkable values from the East Porphyry target situated 800 m towards the eastern part of the Buckreef Main deposit.
The company has intersected 2.87 g/t gold over 2.5 m, 6.11 g/t gold over 1 m, 2.73 g/t gold over 4.00 m and 1.25 g/t gold over 9.40 m in the hole BMDD102, 6.3 g/t gold over 2.25 m, 1.5 g/t gold over 1.3 m, 4.56 g/t gold over 3.25 m, 7.45 g/t gold over 0.7 m and 2.68 g/t gold over 2.00 m in the hole BMDD100B, 7.93 g/t gold over 1.00 m in the hole BMRC531.
The goal of the diamond drill module during the ongoing campaign is to find the structural and geological framework of the East Porphyry prospect. The reverse circulation (RC) drill program has focused on creating a down-dip and strike mineralization continuity discovered in the earlier drilling campaigns.
The RC results from the Buckreef hanging wall and footwall targets yielded considerable assays of gold and validated the continuity of the dip and strike of the parallel zones near the key Buckreef zone.
This project has four prospects, namely Bingwa and Tembo prospects, the Buckreef Gold mine at the project’s west limit and the Buziba prospect situated towards 20 km towards the east. The location of the Eastern porphyry prospect is some 800 m in the Main Zone’s footwall of the Buckreef mine.
