Mindoro Resources has reported the second and third drill holes results from the Archangel project. The plan of this drill campaign was to examine the analyzed high-grade feeder structures that were present beneath the shallow gold and silver resources at Archangel in Philippines.
The three hole campaign has been completed by the company at Archangel.
The company intersected a shallow stockwork zone in the second hole, PL-189, and encountered 60.6 g/t silver, 13.5 g/t gold over 1.75 m and 18.7 g/t silver, 2.58 g/t gold over 12.3 m. PL-190, the third drill hole, crisscrossed a hydrothermal breccia mineralization with a down-hole width of 48 m, and yielded 46.0 g/t gold and 22.5 g/t silver over 0.60 m, 5.55 g/t gold and 74.7 g/t silver over 2.7 m, 3.09 g/t gold and 2.09 g/t silver over 10.45 m, 1.01 g/t gold and 14.1 g/t silver over 34.3 m.
According to Jon Dugdale, Mindoro’s CEO and President, the company can now plan for the next phase of drilling to drill these feeder structures, based on the data received from the geometry and orientation of the sharply-dipping hydrothermal breccia feeder structures.
The company drilled the hole PL-190 in a varied orientation focusing on the structures trending toward northwest and southeast, based on compiled data from the hole PL-188.
Intertek Testing Services prepared and examined the drill core samples.
