Sego Resources has conducted the phase III percussion drill program at the Miner Mountain project and has obtained the results of rock geochemistry from 945 samples in total.
The company has expanded the fresh zone, containing gold and copper found during the phase II program, towards the southeast part by 125 m and remains exposed at depth and to the east, west, northeast and southeast direction. This expansion is a portion of the Cuba Zone IP anomaly measuring 350x1500 m.
The company has sent all the copper samples of more than 1,000 ppm for fire assay process. When the fire assay is completed, the company will announce the results of the holes. Twenty five percussion holes were drilled during the phase III program on a grid area of 30x30 m of 200x150 m.
The area of the Granby-Cuba zone is 350x1500 m. Sego has drilled this zone on a 30 m grid basis, using the 102 percussion holes drilled during phases I, II, and III. The company has planned this 2012 diamond drilling to analyze the zone at larger depth. The drilling operation is anticipated to begin by mid-January. Sego has received the exploration approval for five years.
The Miner Mountain is a gold and copper porphyry project and is located 15 km towards the north of Copper Mountain Mine, which is currently in production. This project is located in the Upper Similkameen Indian Band’s Traditional Territory.
