Santa Fe Metals Reports Sampling Assays from Don Indio Project

Santa Fe Metals has released the assay results from the 2011 ongoing sampling conducted at the Don Indio project in Mexico.

The company has taken samples from previous adits and mines, which make a 5 km potential zone trending towards north-south and this zone has mineralization containing copper-silver and lead-silver-zinc in the Don Indio claims’ western part.

Santa Fe Metals has encountered 16.9% lead and 239 g/t silver from San Marcos West adit, 15.47% zinc and 17.66% lead over 2.8 km along the La Encalmada mine’s strike length and 8.2% copper and 228 g/t silver over 1.5 km along the La Abandonada mine’s strike length. A former channel sampling focused on the La Cuchilla and Pilar Grande intervening mines.

The company has identified the continuity of mineralization in the northern part along the strike, using new rock chip samples that has 27.8 g/t silver and 0.71% copper over 1 m.

The company has compiled 37 chip and 317 channel samples from the Don Indio property. Early channel samplings have encountered a broad and high-grade mineralization containing copper and silver, including up to 3.55% copper, 14.83% lead, 344 g/t silver and 3.71% zinc at La Cuchilla mine, 901 g/t silver and 5.86% copper at Pilar Grande mine.
