Northern Gold Mining has reported the additional assay results of 2,800 m of drilling program, totaling eight diamond drill holes, conducted at Garrcon deposit.
The company is expanding the known mineralization strike to 1.1 km at the deposit and has obtained the assay results from the 42,385 m drilling program conducted at the Garrison gold property in Ontario.
The company has intersected 73.35 g/t gold over 1.0 m, 2.60 g/t gold over 11 m, 1.92 g/t gold over 10 m from the infill holes, 37.32 g/t gold over 1.0 m, 8.83 g/t gold over 1.0 m, 1.29 g/t gold over 9.0 m from the stepout holes.
Northern Gold has obtained assays from three additional infill holes that were drilled vertically at the Garrcon deposit during 2011 exploration. The company drilled these three holes in a 94 m interval along 10+00 W of section line, and continues to cut long downhole gold mineralization.
GAR-11-134A, GAR-11-142, and GAR- 11-143A are the three stepout holes that returned assay results and have demonstrated continuous mineralized gold intercepts present towards eastern part the Howe Report's resource footprint. GAR-11-142 has expanded the prominent strike mineralization at the Garrcon deposit to 1.1 km. High-grade intersections were obtained over downhole mineralization’s short length in these three stepout holes.
GAR-11-134 and GAR-11-143 drill holes were drilled again to the previously planned depth. The Garrcon deposit stays exposed on strike to the western and eastern parts and to the Jonpol east zone located towards the north.
