God's Lake Resources has planned for a 3,000 m of diamond drilling at the Sherman Lake gold project during this up-coming 2012 field season. The project is situated around 400 km towards the northern part of Red Lake Ontario.
The company will start the drill program at Vein #1, wherein mineralized gold of 3.5-4.9 g/t were encountered from 1.35-2.2 m during the former drilling program. Previously, near-surface drilling and surface work conducted on this vein has shown a structure with a length of 140 m and width of 0.75 m, grading 10.25 g/t gold. The company has plotted all the previous drilling and has shown an untested plunge component. It has drilled the vertical hole to a depth of 80 m at vein #1. It has planned to drill around 4-5 holes, totaling 1,200 m, in this region.
God’s Lake has planned to drill 1,400 m, totaling seven holes, around the Sachigo mine site in order to examine the potential plunge section of the mineralized gold that was previously explored between 1938 and 1942. The company will analyze one of these holes located beneath the shaft region, to a planned depth of 350 m in vertical direction.
Drilling of 400 m has been planned for the vein that was newly identified, encountering gold assays of up to 79.87 g/t from the grab sample. The company will drill near-surface holes along the strike testing to a vertical depth of 30 m.
