Zenyatta Ventures Announces Initial Definition Drilling at Albany Graphite Deposit

Zenyatta Ventures will begin the primary definition drill program at the Albany Graphite deposit, which is situated near Hearst in Northeast Ontario.

The drill program has an objective of examining the level of a 1400 x 800 m aerial EM conductor along with around 4000 m of drilling in the next two months and 200 m of broadly spaced drilling. A new hole drilled on the Albany project has examined this huge EM conductor, which cut eight broad and separate breccia zones that are rich in graphite. Samples delivered to Lakehead University (LU) for petrographic test validated that the drill hole had cut a hydrothermal presence of graphite together with a flake size that ranges from fine to coarse. The company has contracted SGS Canada to test the metallurgical response and purity of the graphite material.

Zenyatta’s CEO and President, Aubrey Eveleigh commented that based on the ongoing work by SGS Lakefield and the LU’s encouraging report, the project’s logical phase authenticates through drill program that this huge geophysical anomaly has shown the amount of a graphite-rich breccia pipe. This is a significant step in finding the size of the graphite deposit. The results are pending.

The graphite discovery lies 30 km towards the northern part of the Trans Canada Highway. This deposit is shallow and below glacial.
