El Tigre Silver Begins Core Drilling at its Silver Project

El Tigre Silver has commenced the 2012 core drill program at the company’s El Tigre silver project, as per plan.

The location of this El Tigre project is on the concessions, which belongs to the company's 431 sq. km concession ownership in Mexico.

Landdrill International Mexico was engaged by the company to core drill 5000 m, totaling around 24 holes, at its project. The depth of the holes will range from 100 to 300 m, generally stopping after the El Tigre vein. The company will conduct the drill program round-the-clock until completion.

The drilling program targets the Gold Hill that has a stock work zone, containing gold and silver, in the hanging wall rocks located in the El Tigre gold-silver vein. The length and thickness of the target is around 1.4 km and from approximately 100 m in the Johnny crosscut to 70 m in the high elevations. Its depth is 220 m. The zone’s rock chip sampling program has encountered gold that ranges from 0.001 to 30.2 g/t and silver from 0.2 to 163 g/t. The company reported the results from four holes drilled during the 2011 program at the Gold Hill region. It is expecting to cut high-grade values of gold and silver in the El Tigre vein.
