Cadan Resources Commences Drilling at the T’Boli Gold Mine

Cadan Resources has announced that it has commenced drilling at the T’Boli Gold Mine, which is located in Mindanao Island, Philippines. The 12,000 m drilling programme is being carried out with an intention to discover multiple vein systems in the mine.

T’Boli has been established to be having a mineralisation of gold and silver with substantial gold resources below NI 43-101 of 240,000 oz of gold and 119,000 oz of gold in terms of indicated and inferred mineral resources. The mine also contains NI 43-101 inferred silver resource estimate of 1.6 Moz silver.

The company plans to carry out a major part of the drilling outside the established resources. It is estimated that the discovery from this drilling programme will be 3-7 times more than earlier discoveries. The drilling could potentially discover 2-5 Moz gold and 8-25 Moz silver. For the purpose of the drilling programme the company has employed a Longyear 38 drill rig and additional equipment which has the capacity to dig holes at a depth of more than 500 m. The programme has been designed in such a manner so as to discover high quality gold mineralisation along the depth and strike of the established vein systems. The company is likely to use additional drill rigs to speed up the drilling process. Cadan Resources also plans to enhance the indicated and measured resources that have already been established. The results of the drilling programme will include channel sampling and audit data which has been carried out over the past twelve months for the purpose of estimation of grade and tonnage.
