Ressources Appalaches Announces Initial Metallurgical Test Results for Dufferin Mine

Ressources Appalaches has declared the preliminary results from its gravity and flotation metallurgical tests. The composite sample obtained from the mineralized zone has 19.1 g/t of gold content.

Dufferin Mine

The present tests are a central part of the mine reactivation process and were developed to validate prior studies while applying new methods, representing the treatment procedure used at the Dufferin Mine plant in Nova Scotia.

The company performed tests for determining the mineralisation’s bond work index in order to inspect the grinding capacity. Utilizing a centrifugal concentrator, gravity concentration tests will determine the expected recoveries. In addition, a range of tests will be performed to verify optimum conditions such as reagents, grind, and flotation kinetics for ore concentration by froth flotation process. Moreover, the leaching properties of the concentrates will be determined for future consideration.

Sampling contains the following features:

  • Met-Solve Laboratories based in British Columbia has received a composite 50-kg sample.
  • The sample composed of 92 NQ core samples collected from 13 boreholes, which had been further divided a second time.
  • Fire assay with gravimetric finish studied a part of the 50-kg sample to calculate the fundamental grade at 19.1g/t gold.
  • The drill intersections were obtained from the main segment of the mineralized zone that comprises the initial eight Saddle Reef-type veins, dispersed across 700 m and to a depth of 275 m.
  • The remaining quarter cores were preserved and the entire drill cores are stocked at the mine-site.
