Canadian Silver Hunter, a precious metals exploration company, has announced the first set of results from four holes drilled during the six hole drill program, at the Keeley-Frontier silver project, situated in South Lorrain township. In three of the four holes, silver-bearing zones were observed.
Starting from 121.6 m, a silver value of 1435 g/t over 0.3 m was obtained in hole CSH12-03. Additionally, between the depths 113.6 and 122.3 m, 99.9 g/t silver over 0.3 m, 59.5 g/t over 0.4 m, and 29.6 g/t over 0.5 m were returned. Bracketing and infilling of this silver mineralization zone requires further sampling.
Further down, in hole CSH12-03, a silver value of 40.6 g/t over 0.4 m was intersected from 137.6 m and As, Co, Bi and Ag anomalies was observed above this intersection. In order to determine whether this zone is a continuation of the zone 15 m up hole, further sampling is needed.
It is to be noted that this region may be an extension of the 40 Vein, which has not been much explored by prior operators.
In hole CSH12-04, silver was intersected from 254 m, which returned silver values at 41.7 g/t silver over 1.9 m and 25.3 g/t over 2.0 m. The zone is rich in bismuth anomaly.
The Beaver Lake drift has been intersected at the hole CSH12-05 from 248.8 m. The silver assay at the drift’s west wall intersected 12.7 g/t Ag over 0.4 m and the east wall intersected 146 g/t Ag over 0.8 m. The 1.1 m long drift part included 0.2 m of sub-angular to angular gravel sized fragments. The fragments may be comprised of broken muck material and wall rock and yielded 447 g/t Ag. Totally, the zone yielded 267 g/t Ag over 2.3 m, including 0.9 m of lost void or core.
The assay results for the hole CSH12-06 is yet to be received.
