Galantas Gold has announced that the company has received results from channel sampling and drilling programs conducted at the Omagh Gold property, which is located near Omagh in Northern Ireland.
These current assays are added together with the results announced on 12 January 2012. The independent consultants of the company will used this combined assay results in order to modify the resource calculation for the property.
The company has reported additional results from 13 channel samples for the Joshua vein. The average thickness of gold grade of the samples was 5.7 g/t gold. In the ongoing program, Galantas has sampled and tested three further drill cores, together with four mineralized intersections located on the Joshua vein. It has discovered the Joshua vein in a length of more than 785 m
Galantas Gold has sampled and examined seven drill cores along with 11 mineralized intersections present on the Kearney Vein, during the ongoing drilling program. The average thickness of the gold grade found in the 11 sampled intersects was 5.2 g/t gold. The company has found the Kearney Vein for over a length of 850 m.
Mr. Phelps, Galantas Gold’s CEO and President stated that the obtained channel sampling and drill results from the property have continued to surpass the expectations. The company is conducting an aggressive drilling, along with six rigs at the property, and is preparing an independent interim resource statement, which is expected to be completed by this May end. The continuing drill campaign results will be included in an updated assessment. The company is preparing for an underground mining program, he added.
The company examined the samples at Ireland-based OMAC Laboratory.
