Indigo Exploration has reported assay results from the remaining 34 holes drilled during the phase I reverse circulation program conducted at the Lati gold permit located in West Africa.
The drilling campaign was a first pass prospecting effort, together with wide-spaced drilling transects (200m to 1 km apart) that explore an anomalous strike of length 7 km. Gold mineralization trend of 1.5 km has been additionally expanded for 1 km towards the northern part including 0.42 g/t gold over 50 m.
The company examined the eastern target for 4 km by eight widely-spaced drill transects. This target encloses two wide artisanal working areas. Several elevated mineralized gold intercepts were encountered during the drill program along this trend. The company trusts that there is a possibility to identify additional mineralized gold towards the eastern and western parts of these transects and below the wide artisanal workings in this trend, which have not been examined completely.
The Northwest targets mined broad artisanal workings, trending for 1 km, by four drill transects that were numbered from 1 to 4. It is around 1 km towards the northwest part of the Eastern target. The company encountered 4.16 g/t gold over 4 m. Many elevated gold intercepts were encountered during the drill program at the northwest target.
The company intersected 0.32 g/t gold over 22 m in the hole LTRC-40, under separate artisanal workings. The Lati permit lies in the Boromo greenstone belt, which is around 150 km from the capital of Ouagadougou and 45 km towards the northern part of the Poura Gold mine.
