Strike Graphite Encounters Major Graphitic Gneisses at Simon Lake Graphite Property

Exploration company, Strike Graphite has encountered significant graphitic gneisses at its Simon Lake property. At the beginning of the initial drill hole, graphite mineralization was encountered with major intercepts occurring from 10.2 to 23.9 m.

Second and third graphitic zones from 45.7 to 69.5 m and from 93.5 to 102.2 m, respectively were also encountered. About 4-mm graphite flakes have been observed. The company will continue to drill the initial hole to 240 m or until it passes through a prospective graphitic zone.

At the Simon Lake West Target, SL-12-001 drill hole has confirmed the previous intervals of graphite in E42-5 hole, which intersected a graphitic biotite gneiss with coarse graphite flakes, with thin intervals termed as heavy graphite in 6 to 12 inch bands and graphite flakes abundant.

Strike Graphite’s CEO, Blair Way commented that the company has received encouraging results from the initial drill hole, and it has confirmed the historical data and also intersected massive graphite flakes in this initial hole. These aspects further raise the company’s ability to analyze the previous work and convert that into success. Blair added that in the forthcoming weeks, Strike Graphite’s shareholders are likely to receive more details on the quality, grade and the extent of graphite mineralization as the company continues to progress with its program.

Routine analysis will be done on all graphite intersections to determine multi-element and carbon content. Core will also be examined for preliminary metallurgical testing and mineralogical characterization so as to find out the graphite flakes’ recovery, size distribution and purity.
