American Energy Development (AED), an independent energy company in the United States, has announced the details of drill program carried out at the Cremer 1-1, which is situated in Dansville Prospect in South Lower Michigan.
The current depth of the Cremer 1-1 is around 3159 ft. The company has identified gas showings through the drill program in the Norwood, Paxton, Lachine and Trav. Lime formations and has additionally encountered hydrocarbon fluorescents in the secondary formation. The target structure may be reached before the start of drill program to around 4,500 ft of total depth.
Targeting reef formations have been drilled in more than 4,200 wells, according to the information confirmed through the previous records of the Niagaran reef production. These wells produced 472 M barrels of oil and 2.8 TCF of natural gas. Main industries, including BP, ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell, lead the advancement of reef trends. The recoverable reserves are more than 17 TCF of natural gas and 1.8 B barrels of oil, based on the basin’s new USGS report.
According to the company’s President, Herold Ribsskog, the drilling program is being carried out steadily and the company may achieve the target structure at the earliest. AED is looking for several showings of gas in four higher zones bode wells in order to obtain the results, while attaining the target structure, Herold stated.
