El Tigre Silver has announced a progress report together with the initial assay results obtained from the current drill program carried out at Gold Hill, located on the El Tigre silver project in Mexico.
The company began the core drill program on March 20, 2012 and drilled 1,702 m, totaling eight holes. Good core recoveries are obtained through this drilling program. These drill holes examine the capacity for dispersed mineralized gold related to the El Tigre vein system and high-grade values of gold and silver identified in the El Tigre vein. The company focuses this drill program on 1.2 km towards the southern part of the El Tigre vein system and drilling is centered on Gold Hill.
El Tigre encountered 1611 g/t of high-grade silver and 9.73 g/t of high-grade gold in the El Tigre vein. These gold and silver values are identical to previous production grade and thickness and also exist in an area, where mining was not carried out.
The CEO and President of El Tigre Silver, Stuart Ross commented that these drill results have shown the continuous strength of the mineralized gold and silver in the El Tigre vein system. The company is expecting to receive further assay results, as the drill program has extended at El Tigre, Stuart added.
