Natural Resource Partners (NRP), headquartered in Houston of Texas, has announced that the company has currently purchased around 19,200 net mineral acres of land present in the Mississippian Lime oil play.
This oil play is located in North Central Oklahoma. The company spent about $64 million for this land acquisition. These holdings were purchased as a separate acquisition series from December 2011 till date. Currently, many oil and gas operating firms have leased these holdings and are actively carrying out horizontal drill program in order to expand the acreage.
NRP has its operations headquarters in the City of Huntington, West Virginia. The company is mainly handling the business of holding and supervising the mineral reserve properties. It mainly owns aggregate, coal and gas and oil reserves across the US through which royalty returns are generated for this partnership.
