Zenyatta Ventures has reported the significant assay results of the present drill program carrying out at the Albany Graphite deposit.
An extensive mineralized graphitic veining and breccia zone was intersected in the hole #5, including 6.6% graphite over 170.0 m. the company encountered 6.5% graphite over 88.0 m from the upper graphite zone and 7.1% graphite over 76.0 m from the lower graphite zone. Hole Z12-4F5 was specifically collared at 450 m towards the eastern part of the original hole Z11-4F1.
Zenyatta’s CEO and President, Aubrey Eveleigh commented that the hole #5 cut a remarkable thickness of mineralized graphite on the geophysical anomaly’s eastern part. This is the best hole drilled so far and has validated that the company has identified a wide and unique deposit that is rich in graphite. Zenyatta is elated with the significant results of a huge step-out hole, Aubrey added.
Drill hole Z12-4F4 was specifically collared and drilled in a southern direction. This hole cut a graphitic breccia and veining zone followed by overprinting of graphite. A detached drill string caused mechanical problems in the drill at the 170.0 m point. As the drill string cannot be attached again, the company abandoned the drilling of the hole. Zenyatta will re-drill this specific region of the geophysical anomaly.
The location of the graphite discovery is 30 km towards the northern part of the Trans Canada Highway, natural gas pipeline and power line. The Albany graphite deposit is shallow, underneath glacial till overburden.
